Robert spent over 10 years as an executive at Axia NetMedia, delivering gigabit internet services to communities around the world. Axia’s acquisition by Bell Canada marked the end of that chapter and prompted Robert to look at the next industry ready for a structural rethink.

The premise of Bōde was direct: homeowners are capable of managing their own transactions when given the right platform, data, and tools. The traditional commission model was not a service fee. It was a tax on a process that technology could make accessible to anyone.
The four co-founders built Bōde as a licensed real estate brokerage operating in Alberta, BC, and Ontario. The platform handles every stage of a sale: listing on MLS, marketing, offer management, and closing. Sellers pay $949 flat plus GST, or 1% capped at $10,000 plus GST, only when the property sells.
