1. Terwillegar Towne
Terwillegar Towne in the South West of Edmonton is home to Terwillegar Park, a dog friendly park located on the south bank of the North Saskatchewan River at the end of Rabbit Hill Road. There are numerous paths to explore and an expansive off-leash area. Dog owners agree, this area is a great community for homeowners who have pets.
2. Laurier Heights
In West Edmonton overlooking the North Saskatchewan River valley, you will find Laurier Heights. The community is popular for dog lovers because of the many green areas for homeowners to frequent. Buena Vista dog park is an off-leash area, and Laurier Heights Park and Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park are also great areas to go on a nice walk with your four-legged friend. You’ll find pet amenities in and around Laurier Heights as well such as Tailz dog day care centre.
3. Riverdale
Riverdale is a river valley neighbourhood located just east of the downtown core of Edmonton. Being near Riverdale Park, Louise McKinnley Riverfront Park, and Forest Heights Park, makes it a great location for dog owners to find a home. It’s also nestled right along the North Saskatchewan River which creates the opportunity to have beautiful walks with your favourite furry friend.
4. Callingwood
Located in West Edmonton, Callingwood is place many dog owners call home because of it’s close proximity to Callingwood Dog Park. The community has a Global Pet Foods store and also has two veterinary hospitals.
5. Manning Village
Manning Village is a newer area in North West Edmonton. The community is built surrounding a pond, complete with walking path for dog owners to take a relaxing stroll. With it’s own off-leash park, Manning Village is a fantastic place for dog owners to call home.
